Was it perhaps last day of fall
A century since a war was waged
O’er soul of a land, men slit by a wall
To bleed each other with hearts outraged!
Rains heaved no hope, hence reeked petrichor
Of futile dirt dissolved in gore
Between pride and prejudice of two severed states
Peace can’t be a pawn politics dictates!
Was it heaven’s wish, or a mother’s prayer
Who’d lost her million sons in vain
A faith at last won o’er fear
When the wall was razed to mud by rain!
Hope soared above hatred’s bloodbath
As seven splendid sublime strands
Peace sprouted from pride’s aftermath
A Rainbow Between Bleeding Lands!
