From Gorbachev to Yeltsin, Putin
Is Communism only that has died
Or it still lives in time’s coffin
Until it is crucified!

What remains of that juggernaut
A shadow lingering in the past
A legacy shouts out “Let me rot!”
Whilst the world stares at it aghast!

Those 15 brothers now estranged
Who had once sweared by one belief
The biggest of them seems defanged
By Ukraine in its one-time fief!

How long will Putin save Russia
When nothing is left to redeem
Except a lazing, stubborn inertia
What Became Of The Soviet Dream!
