Sharia sanctions only one psalm
From tall minarets a holy azan
Or the scriptures, strictures of Islam
But no music since the faith began
Learn morality from Taliban!

At least that’s how decipher ‘fanatics’
Sin-ister purpose of music
Is just to stimulate ‘lunatics’
Alas, sweet poison makes a nation sick!

What’s immoral in music, tell?
It is the tryst of heart with soul
Truer than what the Taliban yell
” ‘Allahu Akbar’ is the truth whole”!

Where a nation has lost all its notes
Where has its glory waned away
At the mercy of jihadi cut-throats
A Beethoven Dies Here Every Day!
