Why A Mother Must Mourn, Why A Son Must Die!

Why haunts to death, her last lullaby
Her requiem to his broken dreams
Whose life defies death’s lasting lie
Of the glory he longed to redeem!

His journey to the soul of the sea
Turned out to be a pilgrimage
O’er faith and fear’s rent rhapsody
Alas, to end in sore outrage!

Between wilful lad and his mother’s intrigue
Entangled lay providence of time
Why was he king of the mutinous league
Who defied world’s every paradigm!

I yearn and yearn but he won’t return
Who left me alone to bleed and cry
How hard is it to dare to discern
Why A Mother Must Mourn, Why A Son Must Die!
