Slumbering silent in a solemn sleep
Back to the womb of their motherland
The promise they made is the promise they keep
Dissolving in despair’s quicksand!

Profane is pain when born from pride
How vain is the bargain in Ukraine
Where peace always gets crucified
At the altar of political gain!

In this war between Russia and West
Ukraine is a more than willing henchman
Is martyrdom is patriotic fest?
Ask mothers mourning their lost clan!

Petty Politicians, self-claimed ‘Statesmen’
Are the ones whose shenani-g(u)ns defy
With death-warrants written with poison-pen
Can they dare to deny, Martyrs Don’t Lie!
