Readying The Dying Man To Die

Every breath squelches in that solace
I barter with my lasting sigh
This fear is an angst anonymous
I see in each surrounding eye!

A child’s belief, being weaned away
To suckle the vicious truth of death
Life seems no more a puerile play
But a Godforsaken Satan’s shibboleth!

An obituary reads on every face
A requiem echoes every single voice
The epitaph of their silence says
“Once restless man here lay in poise”!

Whilst the brazen ones countdown my time
By my coffin o’er bier bewails a rabbi
Faith transcends to fear’s paradigm
In Readying The Dying Man To Die!
