Who baptized, rising sun, in gore!
From a, gullible geisha’s, hewed hymen
Still a, land laments, its lost grandeur
When kamikazes, died for, pure passion!
Where wars, were won, in pride’s playground
And lost, at altars, of hara-kiri
An ethos found, in its, pain profound
Redemption, from, conquest’s misery!
After bloodbath, of a, thousand years
An isle, relives, its lost Samurais
And finds, glory in, vain martyrs
How demure, is that death, which life glorifies!
Now in, booming cities, only, lonely souls loom
A sigh squirms, a scream slithers, in every, borrowed breath
Lasting faith, in past’s fear, bleeding sakuras groom
A Nation’s, Obsession, With Death!
