How Can I Say It Was Not Me!

A wraith that strayed beyond an age
From that blasé past to this ennui
Undone by life, worth a, half pilgrimage
Dare he disavow his legacy
How Can I Say It Was Not Me!

From the seed of faith in clay who grew
To be farmed, by fear, and sin’s decree
From first semen, to skin’s, taboo
A spent virtue who chose to be
How Can I Say It Was Not Me!

Who was the prejudice of his pride
That odd shade of social graffiti
Where platitudes are only glorified
Who was trampled by world’s polity
How Can I Say It Was Not Me!

Who is the tomb of all millstones
He shouldered in life’s entreaty
A blatant lie whom truth disowns
From naïveté to debauchery!
How Can I Say It Was Not Me!
