This ain’t, their first ramzan, nor last
Albeit, starved of, faith’s sacraments
Chinese Muslims’, fest of, penance and fast
Which wary, socialist state, resents!

How the heaven, would fall, if they hajj, fast and pray,
Skull-capped, scarved, bearded, caged façades!
A régime, fears a faith’s, menacing melee
Each Uighur, adds to, ten million jihads!!

Neither Mecca, heeds, misery’s litanies
Nor the, Muslim ummah, redeems you
You pray, to death, on bleeding knees
Whilst your, brethren praise, Chinese virtue!

The sun, dies down, sans the sigh, of azan
The mosque, seems to be, a silenced wraith
No iftar’s joy, sans the, pain of ramzan
Just A Fear That Feasts On Fasting Faith!
