An Inch Of Land, A Yard Of Sky

How the zephyr, squirms on, a dusky skin
Hung out, to dry, in the, tears of sun
Between, heartless hope, and benign chagrin
Sways faith, of a, Black soul, crestfallen!

Black ethos, hitched to, White man’s wish
A history, lost to, human prejudice
When a, rustic race, learnt to languish
To a, brazen breed’s, urbane malice!

O’er White man’s fief, why the, Black blood spills
Whilst in, decadent veins, White ethos stinks
Is the, color of skin, root cause, of all ills
Why a, Black man is, what a, White man thinks!

Who baked, him Black; equator’s injustice!
In the truth, of existence, evolution’s lie
In a Black man’ fist, lives an, endless abyss
An Inch Of Land, A Yard Of Sky!
