In The Fiesta Of Faith And Fear

Lingers legacy, of pagan Samhain
When Celts, awaited, souls’ return
Sweet sin, on the, tomb of Frankenstein
Blooms on, by the spirit, of Jack-o’-lantern!

‘Hallowed Evening’ then, ‘Halloween’ today
Trick-or-treat, bonfires, sweet despair…
Beyond the realm, of this ‘child’s play’
Is affair, of fear and faith, laid bare!

A carnival of, that human stain
We beatify, in our, soul’s sanctum
Where fear, looks benign, yet faith, Satan’s strain
Man is an enigma, of his faith’s phantasm!

Thus naïvely, we do, unearth –
The root, of our faith, is a sin austere
We rejoice, each year, our creed’s rebirth
In The Fiesta Of Faith And Fear!
