A Solemn Prayer On A Frigid Night

Who else to seek, where else to hide
Having, spent my fear, to buy my God!
Why the, twain appear, so unified
Is faith’s enigma, so much flawed!

Whilst heart resents, mind’s blasphemy
And mind decries, heart’s fallacy
The soul settles, their litany
With a stoic resolve, for fear’s decree!

“With broken knees, I bow to thee
Oh Lord! Betray me, one more time
How I wish, to call my, lasting plea
‘Faith’s paradigm’, shh,… ‘a sin sublime’”

As stony, as Redemption Street
As somber, as Satan’s delight
Dare my fear, believes in, faith’s defeat!
In A Solemn Prayer, On A Frigid Night!
