I Swear By My ‘Insolence’

I never liked, their platitudes
So they despised, my ‘snobbery’ too
In this constant, war of latitudes
Whose pride was lost, to whose virtue!

I chose to be, truth’s ‘caricature’
Whilst they flaunted, lies’ cocksure vein
Whose thoughts, were lost to conjecture
Who bared to bone, the human stain!

Political correctness, their forte
Who barter lies, and speak in herds
A wild bard me, a thought ‘astray’
Who knows, one truth, beyond his words!

Estranging truth, from existence
Strange ritual of, our life’s pretense!
You pride yourself, on your ‘common sense’!
Whilst I Swear By My ‘Insolence’!
