Make Love Sweet As Sin’s Poesy

Which fury sowed, in hearts’ abyss?
A love, its failing, to give in
To the pain, of yearning’s, lasting bliss
Could sublime be so, if not sin!

Two cherubs, in the arms of God
Unearth the soul, of rhapsody
And hurl aside, conjecture flawed
That “Lovemaking is a mean orgy!”

Beyond the phallic, vulvar quest
The hormonal, neural conquest
Is the spirit, of two solemn souls
Half virtues, in two sinful wholes!

Sans sighs of lust, nirvana’s hymn
Should echo past, fleshly ennui
Why should it be, a shame’s synonym
Make Love Sweet As Sin’s Poesy!
