If Our Faith Were A Lie

Daresay I, conjecture, of my soul
Is all but a lie, nor a truth, I trust
Why blasphemy, is to, then extol
Soul’s scrutiny, of this Godly lust!

Had it not been, a sin of my legacy
Would then I be, its believer
Free-will is, a feared heresy
And faith, a futile redeemer!

Why fear’s, the seed, of mankind’s God
And God, the germ, of mankind’s creed
See the aftermath, of a figment flawed
We die, for a heaven, prophesied!

Why embody, a sublime sin
Be lasting tomb, of a sham, death-shy
Would fear die out, our souls’ within
If Our Faith Were A Lie!
