Let the pain sink in….
Bear new soul of sin
Like the urchin’s warm tears
Baptizing his new fears
Like a ravished hymen’s ache
A new woman’s keepsake
Like the labor of birth
Cradles new misery of mirth
Like love’s hurt in heart
Raising, nerves’ new rampart
Like a hunger that lasts
A new soul, which fasts
Like that undying wait
A new truth, lying in state
Like death’s dogged despair
A new life’s, love affair
Behold the beauty of pain
Ain’t bliss, more profane?
