That Love Of Another Kind

Let the gay birdies coo, a merrier air
In a world, made up so colorblind
Be sweet as sin, an aberrant affair
A spent despair, that love of another kind!

Was it Maker’s imprudence, who never lent love, a name?
Or frenzied hearts’ quest, to that maverick realm, maligned
“Why cupid’s labors, be put to shame!
For a forbidden game, that love of another kind!”

So, is it all but, rogue rituals, of love-making?
Or a yearning, too profound, too sublime, too refined!
Why Oscar Wildes, Sapphos, would trade their hearts, for eternal aching
Is world, worth forsaking, for that love of another kind!

Since ages, buried in history’s grave
The pain, disdain, of a love-starved mankind
Though still a sin, new times forgave
Thru love-charades, strutting brave, that love of another kind!
