Me The Only Candle, Of My Lonely Night

That zephyr knows, the scent of pain
Which passes by, fall’s dreary rite
I count the dregs, of my day, in vain
As my sun sinks, in my heart’s twilight
Me the only candle, of my lonely night

My wick’s my soul, so restively mine
Fed on blood of my heart, how it burns so bright
How on tomb of twinge, it learnt to shine
Like in hands of Satan, a tethered kite
Me the only candle, of my lonely night

Let my glory flicker, unfelt, unseen
For the creed of charade, ain’t the need of light
Unsuckled waif, ain’t hard to wean
From the spent mother, of vain delight
Me the only candle, of my lonely night

Lastly melted me, half-past nightfall
Unspent yet heart, soul’s riotous might
Unquenched yet night, let it take its toll
On the chutzpah, of a raging knight
Me the only candle, of my lonely night
