Those who dwell in past

Those who dwell in past
Will never live to last
Beyond a dream that wasn’t
So phobic to their present
Refuse to flutter, like a flag half mast
Those who dwell in past

Those who dwell in past
Alas, never steadfast
For their hearts mortgaged, to a boneyard of regrets
Souls besieged, by life’s unpaid debts
And spirits downcast
Those who dwell in past

Those who dwell in past
Love to be aghast
Pitied to death, but still, more they want
Brazen their pain, no harm to flaunt
Their gamble lost, well before, die cast
Those who dwell in past

Those who dwell in past
Come thick and fast
Bunch of duds, asinine their being
They look behind, when the rest foreseeing
And race reverse, full blast
Those who dwell in past

Those who dwell in past
Are they History’s outcast?
A merciless mother, doesn’t care for lost broods
Those who choose triviality, she swiftly excludes
For eternity theirs, whose fortitudes outlast
And not for those, who dwell in past
